Support Services Within the Library

“The Green”: An Integrative Learning Commons
Located on the first floor, The Green provides a welcoming common space for students. This reimagined space is bright and inviting, with cozy seating areas and a variety of study spaces.
Along the edge are offices for student support services such as HU Connect, Global Learning (supporting study abroad and away as well as international internships), Career and Life Design, and student success coaches. Students can arrange for individual meetings and rely on the relative privacy of doing so within those office spaces when needed, or in the more open area of the shared common space.

Center for Learning Excellence
Tutoring and academic support are available for Hollins students at all levels. In the R. Lowell Wine Center for Learning (CLE), tutoring is available for walk-ins and appointments. The CLE includes a large classroom and a modular tutoring space with whiteboards. The space can also be used by other students in need of tutoring support or for group and individual work.

Student Success, Well-being, and Belonging
The office of Student Success, Well-being, and Belonging (SSWBB) is focused on fostering a positive and inclusive campus environment. The area oversees most of the student-facing support services and offices that extend beyond the classroom, from accessibility to Housing and Residence Life to security. Many of these departments are included here and include offices located within the Wyndham Robertson Library.

Student Success and Accessibility
The Student Success Office at Hollins University is dedicated to supporting students in their academic and personal growth. They provide resources, guidance, and programs to help students thrive and succeed during their time at Hollins. In addition to student success coaches located in The Green, others in the Student Success office are located on the library’s second floor.
